Robert R. (Bob) Zetwick

Robert R. (Bob) Zetwick, 83 of Walhalla, SC passed away March 3, 2012 following a 2 year battle with cancer.

Robert was born in Newark, NJ to the late William G. Zetwick and Florence Sarles Zetwick of Mountainside, NJ. He served in the US Army Air Corp in the early 1950’s in the Pacific and England. Robert was a Tool and Die Maker with over 40 years working in the trade in Selma Alabama, Greeneville Tennessee, and West Union South Carolina where he retired from Sangamo Weston with a 30 year career.

Robert enjoyed motorcycles, NASCAR, fishing, reading, and metal detecting on Florida beaches. He also enjoyed playing the bass and singing with several local Gospel and Blue Grass bands.

Robert was a former member, past Session officer, and Elder at Bethel Presbyterian Church of Walhalla and sang in the choir at the West Union Presbyterian Chapel.

Robert is survived by his wife of 59 years Lady Kent West Zetwick, and son Bob & wife Debbie Zetwick of Plano, Texas, and son Jim Zetwick of Palm Bay, Florida. Also, he is survived by a brother William Zetwick of Maine. In addition to his parents, Mr. Zetwick was predeceased by a sister, Jean Zetwick Lynch.
