With royal blue skies and perfect green fairways, the annual Selma Quarterback Club Golf Tournament was an outstanding success Monday afternoon at the Selma Country Club.
Members of the Quarterback Club and their friends tee’d off in the afternoon in an effort to raise money for the QB Club’s scholarship fund.
Ousley, who organized the event said the field was completely filled.
With plenty of cold beer, barbecue sandwiches and perfect weather for golf, it’s easy to forget that the event will help send some local athletes to college.
Golfers were able to &uot;sacrifice&uot; a day of work to come out and help the Quarterback Club raise money.
For the players it was a perfect day to come out and raise
money while playing the world’s most frustrating game.
The golf tournament is just one of the events sponsored by the QB Club to help raise money for the scholarships.
The QB Club also brings it guests speakers for several banquets a year.
This week’s speaker is impersonator Scott Moore.
