Morgan adds to staff

When football practice begins on August 4, Morgan Academy coach Robert Gartman will have a new face on his staff.
It might be a bit of a shock, however. The new coach is Gartman’s
former-rival and good friend Robert Andress.
Andress, who has coached football and other sports for 30 years, has joined the Senators staff as a teacher, assistant football coach and head baseball coach.
Andress, a math and science teacher, began coaching in 1969 and has worked mostly in the AISA where he’s been extremely successful.
Andress also said he’s coached track, basketball, football and baseball in his years in the AISA.
Andress’ arrival is a tribute to De Buzna’ s persistence.
The Morgan headmaster tried to hire Andress twice before.
He finally got his man.
Gartman said he’s excited to have Andress on his side of the field.
Gartman said Andress will work with players on both sides of the ball.
His experience with the AISA means Andress has spent time on the sideline against Morgan.
With football practice coming quickly, Andress hasn’t spent as much time on the new baseball job.
