Yeargan Construction exploded for 11 runs in the third and fourth innings on their way to a 14-9 win over Eyemax Vision in 7- and 8-year-old play at the Sportsplex Saturday.

Conner Henderson, Dalton Lee and Erick Bennett led the Yeargan Construction attack.

Henderson singled, doubled, tripled and scored two runs in the winning effort.

Lee singled twice, doubled and scored three times.

He knocked home three runs.

Bennett scored twice, singled and homered.

He had four RBIs.

Ken Fails swung the heavy lumber for Eyemax Vision. He singled and tripled.

He scored twice and had an RBI. Justin Smith singled twice and scored for Eyemax.

The game started off tight with both teams scoring a pair of runs in the first.

Henderson led of with a double, but was tagged out by Smith on a fielder’s choice off the bat of Chase Commack.

Dalton Lee and Mark Black each singled.

Bennett’s fielder’s choice scored two runs for Yeargan.

Eyemax Vision responded with two runs of their own.

Adam Brooks homered with two outs to get a run home.

Fails followed with a single.

T.J. Johnson then ripped a triple to score Fails.

Johnson was tagged out as he headed home.

The Eyemax defense held tough in the top of the second, they kept Yeargan from scoring. Eyemax took the lead in the bottom of the second.

Cody Sloan led off with a single.

He came all the way around to score when Jovan Willis singled and the ball was thrown away.

Willis scored on the play as well.

Down two, Yeargan exploded for five runs in the third.

Henderson led off with a triple. Willis made a good catch on a line drive to third.

Lee doubled Henderson home before

Fails snagged a pop out for the second out.

Bennett singled, Trey Poe doubled and John Neil Nettles singled to keep the rally going.

Spivey Pickens’ doubled and Malik Sallie knocked home the last run of the inning.

Eyemax tied the game at seven in the bottom of the inning.

Trent Thomas led off with a single and Smith followed with a base knock.

Brooks ripped a line drive, but Henderson made the catch and fired to first for the double play.

Fails bombed a triple to left field and T.J. Johnson singled him home.

Johnson later scored to tie the game. Cody Sloan added a single.

Bennett robbed Willis of extra bases when he snared a liner in left field to end the inning.

Yeargan Construction took a commanding lead in the fourth.

Leviticus Sole got a one-out single.

After an out, Henderson singled.

Chase Commack smacked a two-RBI double.

Lee singled home another run.

Black doubled and Bennett cleared the bases with a homerun to the gap in right center.

Eyemax didn’t plate a run in the bottom of the fifth.

Malik Sallie singled for Yeargan in the fifth and Derrick Walker pushed him home to increase the lead to 14-7.

Eyemax rallied in the bottom of the final inning.

Smith singled to lead things off.

After two outs, Johnson knocked him home and came around to third on a throwing error.

Sloan singled him home before Yeargan got the final out.
