If you found yourself navigating your way around crossing guards and runners Saturday, trust us, you were not the only ones.
Saturday morning, more than 100 runners — of every skill and endurance level — took to Selma’s streets to take part in the annual Butterflies and Bridges Run.
And, that as just the beginning of a very busy Saturday that had many residents running in every direction.
There was the opening day games for youth baseball and softball at the Sportsplex, the annual Walk For Life at First Baptist Church, and then, for those longing for a little bit of air conditioning, Alabama State’s annual statewide tour rolled into town, offering alums and potential students alike, the chance to see what is happening at the home of the Hornets.
With Relay for Life and the Battle of Selma just around the corner, Selma and Dallas County’s social calendar is quite busy these days.
Make sure to take part in these many events and get out and enjoy the beautiful weather.
