The Keith High Bears took on the Wilcox Central Jaguars Tuesday night in Orrville, and from the girl’s squad to the varsity squad none fared too well.
The Lady Bears dropped the first game of the night to the Jaguars 54-41. The Bears, down by seven at the half, could never get anything going against Wilcox in the second half. The closest they came in the final two periods was early in the third period when they managed to cut the lead to one point.
The B-Team could never get anything going against the Jaguars, as they dropped the game 51-35. The Bears turned the ball over seven times in the first period, and could never get back in the game after that. The closest they managed to get was early in the first period when they were down by seven points.
The varsity squad played the Jaguars tough throughout the game finally losing in the end 72-62. The score was much closer throughout the game with the Jaguars only getting the big lead in the last couple of minutes of the game.
The Bears played tough throughout the whole game even taking a two-point lead into the locker room at the half, but the height of the Jaguars gave the Bears trouble down the stretch.
At the end of the third period the Jaguars had a five-point lead, but Keith managed to get within two point with 3:46 left in the game. But towards the end the Jaguars just were too much.
