Registered voters who have yet to go to the polls still have until 7 p.m.
So far, in Dallas County, it appears voting is pretty strong —— at least average. A check of polling places in Dallas County today showed good participation in the morning. Some poll watchers are expecting more to pour in from now until the polls close at 7 p.m.
Veteran poll watchers say the voting percentage in Dallas County could reach 38 percent to 40 percent.
Some problems reported from a few people in Dallas County who said they were unable to vote because someone had already cast absentee ballots in their names. This was reported to Chapman’s officer earlier today.
Statewide, election officials describe the turnout as light to moderate.
