Juanita Jenkins Smith, 59, of Niagara Falls, NY, formerly of Talladega, AL, passed on Saturday, September 26, 2009 at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Birmingham.
Mrs. Smith was the ninth child of the late Perry (Ethel) Chapman Jenkins, and sister of the late Rev. (Coach) Willie Jenkins and Marjorie J. Chapman.
Services will be held Thursday, October 1, 2009 at 1:00 PM at Africa M.B. Church, Talladega, AL, with the Reverends Issac Richardson and Tommy Hardy officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery under the direction of Terry’s Metropolitan Mortuary.
She is survived by her husband, George Smith, Niagara Falls, NY; sisters, Vera J. (Rev. B. T.) Booker of Selma, Earlean J. Smith, Niagara Falls, AL, Earnestine (L. C.) Henley, Cleveland, OH, Maggie (Rev. Bobby) Welch, Claudine (Levi) Chatman, Margaret (Wallace) Barclay, Talladega, AL; brothers, John Jenkins, Talladega, AL, Percy (Cynthia) Jenkins, Houston, TX, Kenneth (Deborah) Jenkins, Dothan, AL; one aunt; mother-in-law, Lucille Smith, Opp, AL; five brothers-in-law; one sister-in-law; a host of special niece, nephews, great nieces and great nephews; cousins, family, classmates, and friends.
