The New York Times reports American Eagle Outfitters is offering free smart phones to anyone who tries on a pair of jeans between July 21 and Aug.3.

Here’s the catch: You have to sign up for a two-year contract with a carrier to get a free phone.

Here’s what happens: You go in the store and try on the jeans. After you leave the fitting room, you’ll get a card that explains where you can go online to select your phone and carrier. Forget the iPhone. It’s not included.

After you select online, the new phone and a $25 American Eagle gift card is mailed via FedEX.
