Mildred H. Griffin

Mildred Horton Griffin, resident of Selma, passed away August 22, 2012. Services are scheduled for Friday, August 24, 2012, 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady Queen of Peace Church officiated by Father Stephen Hornat. Burial will follow in Pineview Memory Gardens directed by Miller Funeral Service of Selma.
Mildred H. Griffin taught Business and Commerce three years in Dallas County Schools and thirty years as an elementary teacher in Selma City Schools, retiring in 1987.
She is the wife of Horace D. Griffin, Jr. and the mother of Mildred Davyne Griffin.
Other survivors include four sisters-in-laws, two brothers-in-laws, many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother.
