Ellwood is coming off a 26-12 win at Autaugaville, while A.L. Johnson is coming off its first region win of the season, a 24-8 home win over J.U. Blacksher.

Morgan travelling to Fort Dale

The Morgan Academy Senators (3-2, 0-1 AISA Class 3A-Region 2) are still looking to rebound after their second straight loss, as they’ll travel to Greenville on Friday to face the Fort Dale Academy Eagles (3-2, 2-1 AISA Class 3A-Region 2) at 7 p.m. in a region game.

Friday’s game will be the second in a four-game stretch of region opponents for the Senators.

Morgan is coming off a 34-6 home loss to Escambia Academy, while Fort Dale is also coming off its second straight loss of the season, a 52-14 region defeat against Monroe Academy.

Meadowview heading to Marengo

Last Friday’s 14-12 home loss against defending Class 1A state champion Jackson Academy ended the Meadowview Christian Trojans’ two-game win streak, but they’ll look to rebound on the road Friday at 7 p.m. against the Marengo Academy Longhorns (3-2, 2-0 AISA Class 1A-Region 2) in a region game.

Meadowview (2-3, 1-2 AISA Class 1A-Region 2) won the last meeting between the two squads 16-15 back in 2007.

Marengo is coming off a 20-12 loss at Wilcox Academy, its second straight of the season.

Hornets welcome Francis Marion

The Dallas County Hornets (1-3, 0-3 Class 4A-Region 3) will host the Francis Marion Rams (0-4, 0-3 Class 2A-Region 4) Friday at 7 p.m. in a non-region contest.

The Hornets are hoping to right the ship after three straight region losses, including last week’s 53-0 loss at home against No. 6 Handley.

The Rams are still searching for their first win of the season, as they’re coming off a 40-0 home loss against region opponent Hale County.

Selma hosting rival Sidney Lanier

The Selma Saints (1-3, 0-3 Class 5A-Region 3) will host their longest-standing rival, the Sidney Lanier Poets (0-4, 0-3 Class 6A-Region 3) Friday at 7 p.m. in Memorial Stadium in a non-region game.

The Saints lost last year’s meeting between the two 48-6 at Montgomery’s Cramton Bowl after winning two straight in the series.

The Saints are coming off three straight region losses, including last week’s 42-19 loss at No. 10 Demopolis, while Sidney Lanier is coming off a 42-7 loss at region opponent, No. 3 Auburn.
