Dallas County Sheriff’s Department deputies have arrested a Selma couple and charged them with multiple counts of child abuse among other charges.

Justin Smith, 28, is charged with four counts of child abuse and five counts of endangering the welfare of a child.

Sarah Smith, 27, was charged with three counts of first-degree child abuse and five counts of endangering the welfare of a child.

Deputy Janet Cole said the case has been under investigation since April. The children involved ranged in age from 10 years to 8 months. The couple was arrested on July 30.
