Dr. James Wiley Thomason

Dr. James Wiley Thomason, 92, resident of Selma, AL passed away November 10, 2012. Graveside services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 15, 2012 at New Live Oak cemetery with Dr. Jerry Henry and Rev. Joe Knight officiating and Lawrence Brown-Service directing.

Dr. Thomason was preceded in death by his parents, Dr. James Wiley Thomason and Virginia Mizell Thomason, wife, June Rawls Thomason; and sister, Virginia Thomason Whatley.

He is survived by his sister, Alice Thomason Walkup; son, James Wiley Thomason III (Daisy); daughter, June Thomason Twiggs; grandchildren, Jerry Thomason Twiggs and June Rawls Twiggs.

Pallbearers will be Richard Gibian, Keith King, Ken Morrison, Bill Neighbors, Johnny Russell, Hugo Smith, Joe Thornton, and Ed Williams.

Dr. Thomason spent 60 years practicing dentistry. He was an active member of the First Presbyterian Church, President of Rotary Club, and Second District Dental Association.

The joy of his life was spending time with his wife, June, of 63 years and his children and grandchildren.
