“Officers discovered an aspirin bottle that contained what is believed to be methadone,” Stewart said.

Methadone is sued to relieve moderate-to-severe pain that has not been relieved by non-narcotic pain relievers. It is also used to prevent withdrawal symptoms i patients who were addicted to opiate drugs and are enrolled in treatment programs to stop taking the drugs.

Williams was released Friday on a $2,500 bond.
