Ms. Gurther D. Williams

Ms. Gurther D. Williams, 73, resident of Selma, passed away April 30, 2013 at Vaughan Regional Hospital. Services are scheduled for Wednesday, May 8, 2013, 1:00 p.m. at New Selmont Baptist Church officiated by Rev. Perry. Burial will follow in Town Creek Cemetery directed by Miller Funeral Service of Selma.

She is preceded in death by spouse, Sam Williams; parents, Pearlie Mae and Williams Tompkins, Sr.

Survivors include one son, Sheppard Smyley Jr.; one daughter, Gerardine Tompkins; four brothers, tom Tompkins, Pat Tompkins, RC Tompkins, and Melvin Tompkins; three sisters, Pearline Barge, Mary Lou James, and Cornelius Kelly; five grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, one brother-in-law, two sisters-in-laws, a host of nieces and nephews.
