Two Selma residents convicted of fraud

MONTGOMERY — Alabama Department of Labor Commissioner Tom Surtees announced Monday that the Department has successfully prosecuted several Alabamians for unemployment compensation fraud, including two Selma residents.
Felecia L. Craig and Lynn Reeves, both of Selma, were tried in Dallas County District Court on July 25.
An investigation by Labor’s Benefit Payment Control Section determined Craig received a total of $2,054 in benefits to which she was not entitled. Reeves reeived a total of $3,113 in benefits to which she was not entitled.
Both pled guilty and were sentenced to 60 days in jail, which was suspended for two years pending restitution, and two years of unsupervised probation.
