A. L. Johnson 34, Ellwood Christian 22

Ellwood Christian fumbled five times against A. L. Johnson, which didn’t help their cause in a 34-22 loss Friday night.

The Eagles got a big night from running back DeMarcus Powell, who rushed for over 200 yards and three touchdowns, but in the end the turnovers were too much to overcome.

Next week Ellwood Christian hosts undefeated Maplesville.

 

Jackson academy 40, meadowview christian 8

Meadowview Christian was unable to win its first game of the season Friday night, falling 40-8 to Jackson Academy.

The Trojans Tyler Sebren ran for Meadowview���s lone score of the game in the fourth quarter. Dakota Sanders added the two point conversion. Alan Stockman and Mason Kendrick each recorded five tackles for Meadowview in the defeat.

Next week Meadowview Christian will host Marengo Academy.
