Mr. Robert Shannon, 79, resident of Minter, AL. passed away October 5, 2013 in Lithonia, GA. Services are scheduled for Saturday, October 12, 2013, 1:00 p.m. at Good Hope Baptist Church officiated by Rev. F.D. Jackson. Burial will follow in Thomas Family Cemetery, Minter, AL., directed by Miller Funeral Service of Selma.

Preceded in death by parents; Joe and Lizzie Thomas.

Survivors include spouse Wornzie Shannon; two sons, Albert Shannon and Charles King; four daughters, Delores Walker, Brendalyn Brown, Bettie Barnes, and Vanessa Woods; two sisters, Odessa Robinson and Gracie Swift; twelve grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren, three sons-in-laws, two daughters-in-laws, three brothers-in-laws, four sisters-in-laws, a host of nieces; special god daughter, Catherine Moorer. Pallbearers will be friends.
