A big ‘thank you’ to our supporters

Often times we joke when we say that we are good at telling other people’s stories, but terrible at telling our own.
Such is the case again, as we recently marked the annual National Newspaper Week with barely a whisper. It wasn’t intentional, it’s just we had other things to write about, other stories to tell.
But, while we might have missed an opportunity to talk about oursevlves, we did not want to pass up this chance to thank those who are so important to our continued success as a community newspaper.
And, if you’re wondering just who that might be, it’s you. By reading this, whether it is in print or in our digital edition, it is you we aim to thank today.
If it were not for our readers — and our business partners — this product would not have become the oldest daily newspaper in Alabama, nor would it have been recently judged as one of the best overall newspaers in Alabama.
We cannot cover the news and sports the residents of Selma and Dallas County want to know about it without the support of the thousands of readers and those businesses who choose the pages of our newspaper or our website as a way to market their products and services.
Thanks for reading, thnks for logging on and thanks for being part of our Times-Journal team. We couldn’t do it without you.
