Selma woman killed in Monday accident

A Selma woman died at Vaughan Regional Medical Center Monday afternoon from injuries she sustained in an accident on Alabama Highway 140.
According to reports from the Alabama State Troopers, Laporcha Tyesha Hosea, 30, was seriously injured when the 2004 Chevy Impala she was driving left the highway and overturned.
Troopers said Hosea was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident and was ejected from the vehicle during the wreck, which happened 11 miles east of Selma.
Hosea was transported to Vaughan, where she died soon after arriving.
Alabama State Troopers did not release any other details about the accident, saying only they are continuing to investigate the cause.
Funeral arrangements are incomplete at this time, but arrangements are being handled and will be announced later by Miller Funeral Service.
