Six people, including a pregnant woman and four children, were injured in a car accident Friday afternoon when a car overturned on Broad Street.

The accident occurred just before noon when a burgundy Chevrolet Impala, turning left onto Alabama Avenue, struck a gold Chevrolet headed north on Broad Street.

Witness Wyoming Johnson said the accident occurred as the light turned red. The  gold Chevrolet subsequently flipped once onto its roof, Johnson said.
