Senators defeat Wilcox

The Morgan Academy Senators boys varsity defeated Wilcox Academy 82-71 Tuesday night in a key road contest.

The Senators were led by Dalton Lee, who scored 25 points. Wilcox Academy turned the ball over 26 times, with 23 of those being Morgan Academy steals.

Nearly half of the Senators 23 steals on the night came from Trey Powe, who finished the game with seven points and 11 steals.

Connor Henderson scored 15 points and added seven rebounds and five steals for the Senators. Drake Lauderdale and Caleb Adams scored 18 points each for Wilcox Academy. in the defeat.

The Senators led 51-26 at halftime before hanging on in the second half.

Morgan Academy is now 4-1 on the season and hosts Lowndes Academy Dec. 12 at 4 p.m.

 

Meadowview boys defeat Sumter Academy

YORK — The Meadowview Christian Trojans defeated Sumter Academy 50-43 Tuesday night.

Carlos Grimes had 21 points and 13 rebounds and Carstella Hayes had 13 points and eight assists for the Trojans.

Meadowview Christian plays at Autauga Thursday night.
