New Year’s resolutions often difficult to maintain, but worth the commitment

We’re now 20 days into 2014 and many have already given up on their commitment to be more fit or stop drinking soda.
It’s OK, we’ll forgive you. Getting up earlier than usual to run or lift weights is admittedly not the most enticing way to spent your morning.
The sweet sugary syrup of soda is also a tempting treat to when paired with a tasty meal.
Though we understand your tribulations, we must ask: what happened? Why the sudden change of heart?
A few, short weeks ago, you promised yourself you’d never drink a cola again. You bought two more alarm clocks to ensure your bed’s warmth wouldn’t ensare you for a few extra minutes.
It’s been said many times before, but nothing comes easily, except for gaining weight. Next time you hurl your alarm clock across the room to get a few extra minutes of sleep, think about how good you’ll feel carrying around a few less pounds.
Drinking soda is a slighty more difficult habit to quit. Other than feeling better about yourself, there aren’t any immediately apparent benefits.
If nothing else, stay committed to your resolution because of the pride you’ll feel at the start of 2015.
