Morgan Academy’s tennis teams won for the second straight day on Tuesday,  defeating Monroe Academy.

The Senators boys won all five singles matches and both doubles matches, while the Morgan girls won four of the five singles matches.

Petyon Matthiews defeated Troupe Grimes 6-0, 6-2 and Connor Henderson defeated Will Eddins 6-1, 6-1. Other winners for the boys were Will Sherrer, who defeated Jack Estes 6-0, 6-3, Elliott Oslund, who won 6-0, 6-3 against William Bond, and Jordan Cothran who won over Christian Ackerman 6-2, 6-0.

For the girls, Emily Sherrer defeated Courtney Owens 7-5, 7-5 and Sophie Talton defeated Ali Dees 6-2, 6-0.

Ellie Adams defeated Madison Hudson 7-5, 6-2 and Haley Mathiews won Morgan’s fourth singles match 7-5, 6-2 over Taylor Barnes. Annie Talton was the lone defeat for the Senators, falling to Natesha Kilpatrick 3-6, 3-6.
