Mass of the Resurrection for Mrs. Carrie M. Strong (Blevins), 73, resident to Selma, passed away April 15, 2014 in Selma.

Services will be held Thursday, April 24, 2014, 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church celebrant by Father Stephen Hornant SSE. Burial will follow in Fairlawn Memory Gardens directed by Randall Miller Funeral Home.

She was preceded in death by brothers, Joe Blevins, Oliver Blevins, Connie Blevins, and Lenoard Blevins.

Survivors include spouse Roosevelt A. Strong; parents, Dec. Joe and Lucille Blevins; two sons, Gregory (Valerie) Strong and Anthony (Joyce) Melton; two daughters, Patricia (Carvin) Thomas and Bridget (Kairaba) Tyus; two brothers, Robert L. Blevins, John Blevins; sister, Lillie  Pearl (Willie) Turner; eight grandchildren, five great grandchildren, a host of nieces and nephews.
