John Thomas Jowers, age 69, passed away on April 27, 2014. He was born in Tuscaloosa, Alabama February 18, 1945 and lived in Selma, Alabama. He was a traveler. During his life he lived in Alaska, Colorado, Nevada, and Key West – that being his favorite. He was an automotive technician by trade. He was Automotive Service Excellence certified, Master Technician.  He was an avid reader and story teller.
He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Ann Jowers and four children Martin (Katie) Jowers, Helen Jowers, Diane Jowers, and David Jowers; two brothers Len (Paula) Jowers and William (Marcia) Jowers; one sister Elizabeth (Lewis) Peters; and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents Leonard and Mary Jowers, brother Lawrence Jowers, and sister Mary Ellen Golner.
