The 86th annual Selma Invitational will tee off Friday at the Selma Country Club.
A total of 90 players make up the field for the three-day event.
“I think we have a stronger field than we have had in a number of years,” Tommy Burns, PGA professional with the Selma Country Club, said. “We have the Alabama State seniors coming next week and we have a lot of those guys that are coming. I just feel like the field is going to be better than ever this year.”
Burns said the field will be broken into four flights. The overall winner will be awarded the George Voltz trophy Sunday afternoon.
The tournament will tee off at 8:30 a.m. on Friday.
Decatur’s Matt Gourgeot is the defending champion of the event.
