Beverly Scott went to be with Jesus on May 23, 2014 at her home.  She was born on April 7, 1954 in Biloxi, MS.

She is survived by her parents, Kenneth Scott, Sr. and Betty Joy Scott; sister-in-law, Wanda Scott; niece, Ashley Scott; several great-nieces and nephews and her special friend, Sarah Nash, who had been her faithful caregiver in recent months.

Beverly was preceded in death by her brother, Kenneth Scott, Jr.

She was a member of Joy Baptist Temple.  Beverly began her nursing career at Selma Baptist Hospital.  Her long career carried her all over the United States.

She was a life flight nurse and specialized in trauma and Emergency Room care.  At the end of her career she worked locally as a hospice nurse.  She loved her work and her patients dearly.  She was always happiest helping others.  Beverly also loved her pets dearly.

Home Going services will be held at Joy Baptist Temple on Sunday June 1, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. with Beverly’s dad, Rev. Ken Scott officiating.  Visitation will be from 10:45-11:00 a.m.
