Mr. M.C. McCants, 81, resident of Dallas Co.,  passed away June 1, 2014 at Lighthouse Rehab Center. Services will be held June 7, 2014, 1:00 p.m. at Shady Grove Baptist Church officiated by Pastor Frank Smith. Burial will follow in Little Star Cemetery directed by Randall Miller Funeral Home.
Survivors include spouse Gloria McCants; four sons, Robert McCants, Charlie McCants, Woodrow McCants, and Donald McCants; four daughters, Stella Perry, Ruthie Perry, Elnora Lockwood, and Hope Miller; brother, Leslie McCants; four sisters, Ruby Lewis, Zeola Thomas, Lucille Murry, and Lizzie Burton.

Jonas Lewis , 69, resident of Dallas County, passed away May 27, 2014 at the Lighthouse. Services are scheduled for June 7, 2014, 11 a.m. at Lewis Brothers Chapel. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery directed by Lewis Brothers.
He was preceded in death by father, Henry Lewis Sr.; mother, Estella Cleveland; two sisters and three brothers.
Survivors include spouse Mary Lewis; sons, Christopher Lewis; daughters, Patricia Lewis, Genevieve (Eldred) Brown; brothers, Joseph (Johnnie Mae) Lewis, Willie James (Rae Alice) Lewis; sister, Ruth Ann Carter; eight grandchildren, six great grandchildren, one son-in-law, two sisters-in-laws, a host of nieces and nephews.
