CCA ends season with big defeat

Concordia College Alabama’s football season came to a close Saturday, as the Hornets were on the wrong end of a 73-6 walloping to Delta State in their season finale.
The Hornets (1-9) were held to only 8 yards rushing and 137 yards of total offense. Delta State (8-1) piled up 536 total yards, with 408 of those coming through the air.
Horatio Keller ran for a 2-yard score with 7:36 remaining in the third quarter, but at that time the Hornets were already down 48-0. Delta State scored 41 points in the first half and had 24 first downs in the game.
Keller was 6-of-18 passing for 109 yards and two interceptions. Most of his yards came on a 79-yard scoring pass to Chris Lee, who led the Hornets with 99 yards receiving. All game and stat information came from the Delta State University athletics page.
