Art Jam lineup again looks impressive

The second annual Art Jam will have some local flare and it should only make this year’s festival that much better.
Patterson Hood, co-found of the Drive-By Truckers, is coming to Selma to celebrate the holidays with family and friends, but then he’ll spread some holiday cheer of his own by performing at the Walton Theatre Dec. 27 at 6 p.m.
Hood’s aunt and uncle are from Selma, so he knows the area and has a strong local connection.
The remaining tickets are expected to go quickly.
Last year every spot in the 260-seat theatre was taken to welcome Jason Isbell to Selma. As of noon Friday, this year’s Art Jam at the Walton Theatre had only 52 tickets left, according to the event’s Facebook page.
There will be plenty going on the night of the show.
At 4 p.m., the art show starts and continues throughout the night.
Those with VIP tickets get to meet Patterson, enjoy local food and craft brews, local tunes from Destiny Brown and front tier seating starting at 5 p.m. VIP tickets are $65 and general admission tickets are $35.
We are looking forward to another great Art Jam. It’s clear that the Black Belt Benefit Group and Grow Selma have aspirations to make this a must see event every year in Selma.
It’s well on its way.
