Despite a loss Tuesday to Bibb County, Keith’s boys remained ranked No. 1 in the Alabama Sports Writers Association rankings.

The Bears (13-9) will face Dallas County Friday at Concordia College Alabama. The Hornets (14-5) moved up to No. 7 in class 5A after an impressive week that included a win over Wilcox Central.

In the girls rankings, Keith (15-5) is No. 7 in class 1A and Selma (15-5) is No. 10 in class 6A after undefeated weeks.

The top ranked teams in the boys rankings are Mountain Brook (7A),  Lee-Huntsville (6A), Faith-Mobile (5A), Cherokee County (4A), Holly Pond (3A), Vincent (2A), Keith (1A) and Restoration (AISA).

The top ranked girls teams in the rankings are Huntsville (7A), Homewood (6A), Wenonah (5A), Deshler (4A), Lauderdale County (3A), Samson (2A), Brantley (1A) and  Glenwood (AISA).
