Alphonso Motley, age 55, of Jones, passed away March 15, 2015, in Jones. Services are scheduled for March 21, 2015, at 1 p.m. at Brien’s Chapel Community Church with the Rev. Clinton Peoples officiating. Burial will follow in Home Aide Cemetery with Lewis Brothers Funeral Home directing. He is preceded in death by his father, James Motley Sr.; two brothers, Samuel Motley and James Motley Jr. He is survived by his spouse, Carolyn Marshall; mother, Jewell Motley; sons, Jarvise Callens, DeAndra Callens and Kenyall Callens; daughter, Tiffany Callens; step daughter, Tynechia Marshall; brothers, John (Dorothy) Motley and Cleophus Motley (of Jones); sisters, Annie Mitchell, Jeanetta Morrow and Jacqueline Morrow (of Jones), Shirley (Danny) Young of Detroit, Mich.; four grandchildren; two brothers-in-law; sister-in-law; and a host of nieces and nephews.
