Gladys Smith Moore, age 80, of Selma, passed away June 15, 2015.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Sam W. Smith Sr.; parents, Riley and Lula Mae Benson; son, Ed Smith; brother, Dan Benson; and sister, Bonnie Hill.
Surviving are her children, Mike (Betty) Smith, Ted (Deborah) Smith, Sam W. Smith Jr., Betty Headley and Jerry (Lisa) Smith; 22 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and nieces, nephews and cousins that were very special to Mrs. Gladys.
Funeral services will be Friday, June 19, 2015, at 11 a.m. at Selma Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Rod Rochester and the Rev. Jerry Smith officiating. Interment will be in Pineview Memory Gardens with Selma Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be prior to the service from 10-11 a.m.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to United Methodist Children’s Home, 3140 Zelda Court, Montgomery, AL  36106.
