Storm knocks down trees, power lines

A severe thunderstorm rolled through Dallas County on Saturday evening, knocking down trees and power lines and catching residents off guard.
The storm came through between 5:30 and 6 p.m. No injuries were reported according to Dallas County Emergency Management Agency, but an elderly couple in a car that was hit by a tree complained of chest and back pains. They couple declined transport to a hospital.
At 8 p.m., there were still about 20 power outages, according to Dallas County EMA.
During the storm, east central Dallas County was under a severe thunderstorm warning for 60 mile per hour winds and quarter sized hail.
