A single-vehicle crash Wednesday evening has claimed the life of a Selma man.

Calvin Drake Jr., 33, was killed when the 2002 Chevrolet Avalanche he was driving left the road and overturned around 5:45 p.m.

Drake, who was not wearing a seat belt, was ejected and pronounced dead at the scene. The crash occurred on U.S. 80, near Alabama 97, at the 113 mile marker.

Drake is branch manager of the PNC Bank in Selma and a member of the Selma Rotary Club. He is survive by a wife and several children.

No additional information was released as Alabama State Troopers continue to investigate.
