The Dallas County Resource Center is working to help first-time parents take care of their children the right way.
Parenting is one of the most difficult jobs in the world, and this class is a good opportunity for people that are expecting children or that already have children. We can never learn enough, especially when it comes to children.
The course, which started yesterday, focuses on new mothers that will soon welcome a new bundle of joy into the world. It teaches expecting mothers developing the baby so it arrives healthy, how to care for your baby when it comes to feeding, bathing and many more topics. The class also teaches parents how to sooth their children when they are crying and environmental hazards.
If you missed the workshop on Tuesday, there is another chance on Thursday. People should take advantage of the opportunity. People that attend the course are sure to come home with something new, whether it is how to deal with changes during and after pregnancy or how to hold your child when it is born.
For first-time parents that may be nervous about parenting and what it takes to care for a child, it can be a great eye opener. It can take away some of the anxiety and fear someone might have.
An expecting parent can benefit from taking this class. You can reserve a spot by calling the Dallas County Family Resource Center at 874-7785.
