The Little Lamb Children’s Consignment Sale is officially underway.

Sellers dropped off their children’s clothing Wednesday evening at the Meadowview Christian gym in a sale that will raise money for Salvation Army Angel Tree. Shoppers have their first opportunity to purchase clothing for their children and support the Salvation Army Thursday at 7:15 p.m.

If sellers have children items they still want to drop off, they are welcome to drop off items from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Thursday. Each seller will receive a pass to shop Thursday at 6:30 p.m.

The Thursday shopping at the Meadowview Christian gym is not open to children and costs $5 to attend. Shoppers have the opportunity to shop for free Friday from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.

Little Lamb Children’s Clothing Sale coordinator Claire Gibbs said coming Friday and Saturday won’t be a disadvantage to shoppers getting what they want.

“I would encourage people to come Friday and Saturday,” Gibbs said. “It actually is so overwhelming when you come on Thursday because there’s so much stuff.”

Choosing the Salvation Army as the benefactor of the profits was an easy choice for Gibbs and others. Gibbs said that since the sale is centered around the needs of children, it’s best to give to children who are without the items being sold and bought at the Consignment Sale.

Gibbs is excited for the shopping to begin because she said everyone benefits from the Little Lamb Children’s Consignment Sale.

“It’s just amazing to see all the people that come through in just an hour, how many people come through that are so excited to find things that they need and they want for their children and they’re paying just a fraction of what they would pay in a store and a lot of them really need that,” Gibbs said.
