The Morgan Academy varsity boys’ basketball team (5-4)followed up a 65-54 loss to Macon East Friday night with a 62-53 win Saturday over Eastwood Christian Academy at the Autauga Academy Christmas Tournament.

Senior Woodham Kemmer led all scorers Saturday with 18 points, 12 of which came in the fourth quarter. Kemmer also had nine steals.

Senior Sawyer Hopkins posted a double-double with 13 points and 13 reobunds.

Sophomore Jay Creech added a boost off the bench with 13 points, 11 of which were scored in the second half.

Kemmer was named to the all-tournament team.

Morgan plays its next game Jan. 2, when it hosts the Pepsi Classic.
