A Selma man caught in the crossfire of a New Year’s Eve shooting at GWC Homes has died.

Antoine Stallworth, 38, died this morning shortly before 7 a.m. at a Montgomery hospital, according to Lt. Sam Miller with the Selma Police Department.

Police believe Stallworth was caught between two parties exchanging shots around GWC Homes.

Another victim died New Year’s Eve in a second shooting. Mary Whatley, 44, was shot standing in her front yard in the 1600 block of Maple Street. She died later at Vaughan Regional Medical Center.

Both shootings remain under investigation, according to Miller.
