Katherine Godwin Pearson, of Dallas County, passed away Jan. 16, 2016, at the age of 88. She is preceded in death by her husband, M.A. Pearson, and her daughter, Sandy Pearson. Katherine is survived by her daughters, Cheryl Pearson Bailey (Mike) and Lizabeth Anne Pearson Schropp (Mark); son, Milton A. Pearson;  grandchildren, Micah Bailey, Amanda Bailey Leach, Kevin Lovoy and Cammy Lovoy; great-grandson, Miller Scott Leach;  sister, Ina G. Crowder; and sister-in-law, Lucy P. Vickers.

The celebration of life service will be held at Southern Heritage Funeral Home on Tuesday, Jan. 19 at 2 p.m. with visitation starting at noon. The burial will be on Wednesday, Jan. 20 at New Live Oak Cemetery at 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The American Heart Association, Susan G. Komen, and The Dementia Society of America or the charity of your choice.
