The Rev. Darryl Moore is a candidate for Dallas County Commission, District 3, and asks for your vote in the primary election on March 1.
“I have given a great deal of thought, prayer and sought the advice of others in consideration of making another bid for a seat on the county commission,” Moore said. “I have concluded that it is essential that someone step forward to work for improvement within county government.”
Moore said that as he has traveled throughout the city and county, he has seen the lack of adequate housing roads and sanitation improvements within the district. Moore said he fails to understand why many of the same conditions the district has had for years continue to exist. He is determined to make a change.
“I feel that I will be able to bring about significant change and improvements if elected. It is for these and other reasons that I have decided to seek the office of County Commissioner,” Moore said.
Moore said he will further work to improve conditions related to 10 county issues including: industry and jobs, housing for low income and the elderly, improved healthcare, recreation for youth, better working relationship with the city of Selma, improved roads within the district, new funding through grant proposals, improved working relations with state and national leaders, improved general services to residents within the district and support programs to curb crime.
