Uniontown woman dies in car crash

An early Saturday morning car crash in Hale County claimed the life of a Uniontown woman and injured two others.
Annette Fields Black, 52, was killed when the 2000 Pontiac Montana she was a passenger in left the roadway and struck a utility pole before overturning. She was pronounced dead the scene.
The accident happened at 1:15 a.m. on Alabama 61 near the 10 mile marker, approximately 10 miles south of Greensboro.
The driver of the car, Elizabeth Smith, 29, also of Uniontown, and another passenger, who was not identified, were transported to DCH Regional Medical Center in Tuscaloosa for treatment.
Alabama State Troopers continue to investigate.
