Two men were robbed at gunpoint early Sunday morning.
The victims, ages 19 and 20, flagged down a Selma Police Department officer at approximately 2 a.m. on the 1500 block of Highland Avenue to report a robbery.
According to authorities, the victims were at a package store on the 1800 block of Highland Avenue when they met three black males.
“[The victims] asked [the suspects] where the party was at and they followed them to Candlewood Apartments,” said Lt. Sam Miller.
Afterwards, the group went to Selma Square Apartments to meet with some females, according to Miller. Once they arrived, one of the suspects pulled a .40 caliber pistol from the 20-year-old victim’s pants and demanded the two surrender their money.
The suspects took the 19-year-old victim’s wallet and fled on foot. Authorities said as the suspects retreated, one suspect shot toward the victims’ vehicle three times, hitting it once.
The victims were not injured during the robbery, according to Miller.
Details of the robbery remain under investigation.
