Elois Strickland Bowen, age 89, of Selma. passed away April 30, 2016.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ezekiel and Bertha Strickland; brother, Linwood Strickland; and sisters, Hughlene Law, Frances Denson and June Biedermann.

Surviving are her husband, David Bowen; children, Elaine (Doug) Bouder, Ellen (Gene) Ireland and Sandra (Charlie) Shoultz; sister, Barbara Goodman; six grandchildren, Angie Hammons, David Pitts (Priscilla), Warren Reaves, Scotty Reaves, Laurie Hall (Mitchell) and Josh Shoultz; six great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services were Monday, May 2 at 2 p.m. at Northside Baptist Church with the Rev. Ken Blake officiating. Interment was in Pineview Memory Gardens with Selma Funeral Home directing. Visitation was held one hour prior to the service.

Pallbearers were members of Northside Baptist Church. Honorary pallbearers were members of the Glory Bound and Harmony Sunday School Class.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Northside Baptist Church.
