We haven’t heard anything from the congressman since his defeat for the Democratic nomination for governor. Now, at the new year we learn he’s headed into private practice in Washington.
And, he’ll represent individual and corporate clients in criminal and civil fraud matters, an SNR Denton press release says.
Among those things in his focus will be regulatory and governmental investigations. That’s pretty interesting.
Davis is one of four hired.
The others are:
Rodric Pacheco, DA for Riverside County in California
Christian E. Samay, Short Hills, N.J., a litigator formerly with Reed Smith LLP.
Andrew J. Weiner, New York, former co-chair of Morrison & Foerster’s Real Estate Group
SNR Denton was formed in September from the merger of Sonnerschein Nath & Rosenthal and Denton Wilde Sapte of the United Kingdom.
In the announcement released Monday, Jan. 3, by SNR Denton, Davis said, “I am looking forward to joining SNR Denton because of its commitment to a first-class white collar and government investigations practice with a nationwide and global scope. I am honored to join the Washington office of this rapidly expanding team of experienced and dynamic litigators, and to join a firm which is now one of the top 25 firms in the world.”
