Integrity Worldwide announced the team that will be making a trip to Meto, Kenya later this month. A Mission Sunday event was held Sunday at Blue Jean Church on Church Street, which was an opportunity for former team members to share experiences and for others to meet the members of this year’s team.
We’ve written a lot about Integrity Worldwide through the years about how much the organization is helping others through its mission trips. The organization’s 5K and 10K run each fall has become a big event in Selma and encourages people to get fit, while also raising money for the people of Kenya.
The people of Kenya have started their own 5K as a way of saying thank you for all the help the people of Selma have provided them.
We want to be among the first to wish this year’s team good luck on its mission in Kenya. Through the years Integrity has done a lot in Kenya, including making sure the people there could get clean drinking water and medical care. We’re sure the team about to leave for Meto will do great things as well. We wish them well on their trip.
