Annette Bates Culpepper

Annette B. Culpepper, 90, joined her beloved husband, Marvin Woods Culpepper, in heaven on the afternoon of Wednesday, July 27, 2016.
Born in Selma to the late Robert and Lida M. Olive Bates, Culpepper dedicated her life to faithfully serving her husband, raising her children to love Jesus Christ and to the making of their home. She was a devoted member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Pleasant Hill. Mrs. Culpepper will be forever remembered as a loving wife, mother and friend whose greatest pleasure was spending time with the ones she loved.
In addition to her husband and parents, Annette was also preceded in death by her daughter, Camilla Ann Robertson; and her grandson, Marty Robertson.
Her memory will forever be treasured by her loving children, Cheryl Stafford of Kathleen, Georgia, and Woods Culpepper of Dothan; grandchildren, Jennifer Burkhalter (Rob), Andy Stafford IV (Laura), Lee Robertson and Jayne Burns (Brandon); five great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 6 at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Pleasant Hill.
Mrs. Culpepper will be laid to rest following the service in Pleasant Hill Baptist Church cemetery.
