Clifton “Buddy” Julius Atchison, age 95, of Selma, passed away Aug. 16, 2016.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Hazel H. Atchison; parents, Ben and Eunice Atchison; brothers, Roy Atchison, Wilton Atchison, Erskin Atchison and Paul Atchison; and sisters, Pauline McDaniel, Francis Molmar, Nellie Melton, Vera Caine and Dorothy Atchison.

Surviving are his daughter, Rita Jordan; brothers, Jimmy (Shirley) Atchison and David (Dickie) Atchison; sisters, Irene Teel, Helen Massey and Erma Levins (Efton Short); grandsons, Eric (Shelley) Jordan and Scott (Kelly) Jordan; granddaughter, Robin Jordan; great-grandchildren, Evan Jordan, Colton Jordan, Madison Jordan and Avery Jordan; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be Saturday, Aug. 20, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. in Plantersville Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Clarke Skelton officiating and Selma Funeral Home directing.

The family will receive friends, Friday, Aug. 19, 2016 from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Eric Jordan, Scott Jordan, Boris Levins, Johnny Atchison, Jerry Atchison, Tony Levins, Jeff Levins and Darren Atchison.  Honorary pallbearer will be his brother-in-law, Hermon Houston.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to Plantersville Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 11817 County Road 63, Plantersville, AL, 36758.
