David Dynan Smith, 75, a native of Selma and a resident of Northport, began his eternal life on April 18, 2016.

He attended the University of Alabama and was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church in Tuscaloosa. David is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Edgar and Margaret Dining Smith; two brothers, Joseph Patrick Smith and Dr. William Corwin Smith.

He is survived by two sisters, Margaret Anne (William) Fincher of Eutaw and Mary Claire Smith of Mobile; three nieces and nephews, Allison (Alvin) Miller of Northport, Mark Joseph (Patsy) Fincher of Phenix City; Clair Bain of Collins, Mississippi.; one great nephew, Joseph Fincher of Phenix City.

Graveside services were held in New Live Oak Cemetery on June 11, 2016, presided over by Father Richard Parish, Selma. May David rest in peace.
